Stephanie has a social work degree from the Netherlands and over 15 years of non-profit management experience. She is a financial professional in 401 (k) retirement services with a heart for marginalized groups. Stephanie enjoys good music of all genres and currently resides in Mobile, AL.
Jamar Robinson
Board Member
Jamar is an Asset Manager in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry and has worked in various drug research and development roles for more than 16 years. He desires to utilize his experiences professionally and personally to give back to future generations. This native of Chester, PA, has traveled to five continents and always looks forward to new adventures. He also enjoys hiking, recreational tennis, binge-watching captivating TV shows, connecting with close family and friends, and being a dog dad to a 7-year-old toy fox terrier, Zeus.
Sonya Scott
COO & Vice-Chairperson
Sonya is an education specialist at the Alabama Department of Education (ALSDE) in the Alabama Math, Science, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) Department. She is passionate about quality STEM education for all students. As such, she desires to F1NE-TUNE the skills of educators to equip them better to cultivate students as skilled problem-solvers who can compete in a global society. Sonya is a mother to four adult children, a loving GiGi to several grandchildren, and a dog mom to a long-haired Chihuahua named Mario. She enjoys cooking, entertaining her family, and serving her church.
Everage Thomas, III
Board Member
Everage, a native and current resident of Mobile, AL, serves as Pastor of New Generation Church. He is married to Laura Slaikeu Thomas, and they parent three children: Miles, Isaac, and Gabrielle Thomas. Everage's vision is to be used of the Lord as a vessel to help advance the gospel message through sound biblical teaching to lead many into a personal relationship with the King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus. He earnestly applies the following Scripture to his ministry assignment:
“Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.” - (1 Timothy 4:16)
Dr. Rita Williams
CEO, Treasurer, & Chairperson
Rita is the Visionary and CEO of F1NE-TUNE and F1NE-TUNE's Treasure. She enjoys partnering with schools and districts to provide customized professional learning meeting the specific needs of their educators. Rita's doctoral research focused on black males and the systemic structures impeding their progress. She is committed to being a part of the solution. Rita prioritizes traveling, spending time with family, karaoke, hiking, and caring for her fur baby, Mackenzie.
